About the Role BioLife Plasma Services is a subsidiary of Takeda Pharmaceutical Company Ltd. The Plasma Center Nurse (Medical Support Specialist) supports plasma center operations by determining donor eligibility, managing donor adverse events, reviewing laboratory test results, and notifying donors of unsuitable results. The role works under the guidance of the Center Manager and the Center Physician for medical issues and follows guidance from BioLife Medical Affairs. How You Will Contribute Determine donor eligibility, including proper management of informed consent, AIDS education, confidential self‑exclusion, medical history interview, acceptance requirements, physical examination, blood testing, and reviewing Serological Protein Electrophoresis (SPE). Evaluate donor reactions in accordance with SOPs, follow SOPs for medical emergencies, and facilitate donor transport to emergency care. Refer to the Center Physician or Medical Affairs for unacceptable findings or medical/technical guidance. Support Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees. Manage employee incidents and coordinate further evaluation with occupational health/ER. Act as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS and support investigations related to pandemic threats. What You Bring to Takeda High school diploma or equivalent and a recognized nursing program with state requirements. Current licence or certification in the state of assignment (e.g., EMT‑Paramedic). Current CPR and AED certification. Completion of state IV therapy requirements. Completion of FDA‑approved training for BioLife Medical Support Specialist. Two years of clinical or hospital experience. BioLife Compensation and Benefits Summary Location: USA – IN – Indianapolis Hourly wage range: $22.80 – $31.35 (may vary by qualifications, experience, skills, education, certificates, and location; wage offered in accordance with local minimum wage requirements).
