Job Description

Insight Global is currently seeking a Functional Consultant to support a large-scale enterprise asset management transformation for a US-based utility client, focused on migrating legacy systems into IBM Maximo. The project is mid-flight within a multi-vendor environment, involving over 100 stakeholders across business and technical teams. We are seeking a strong Functional Consultant who can take ownership of integration-focused workstreams, collaborate cross-functionally, and quickly deliver value in a fast-paced, delivery-driven environment. The consultant will own specific integration workstreams, partnering with business stakeholders and technical teams to gather requirements, run workshops, and define future-state processes. They will lead solutioning discussions, translate business needs into functional design documentation, and collaborate closely with solution architects and developers to ensure requirements are clearly understood and delivered. The role is highly collaborative and proactive—requiring strong communication, the ability to navigate a large project environment, and ownership of deliverables from discovery through documentation and handoff to development teams. This is a fully remote position with the requirement to work in Eastern Standard Time.

Skills and Requirements

• 7+ years of experience as a Functional Consultant or Business Analyst

• 5+ years of experience working with IBM Maximo (implementations or integrations)

• Prior experience in the utilities industry (1 year minimum)

• Experience working in Agile or hybrid delivery environments

Soft skills:

• Strong experience gathering requirements, running workshops, and producing functional design documentation (FDDs, BRDs, process flows)

• Ability to collaborate with technical teams (developers, architects) and support solution design

• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills (client-facing role)

• Highly proactive, able to navigate ambiguity and drive work forward independently

Comfortable working in large, complex project environments with multiple vendors and stakeholders
