Role Description The Title Officer role at Rise Abstract is a full-time, on-site position based in Howell, NJ. This role is responsible for reviewing and analyzing title searches, chains of title, and related documents to identify issues, confirm ownership, and determine insurability. Day-to-day tasks include preparing and reviewing legal and closing documents, coordinating escrow instructions, and resolving title defects or discrepancies in collaboration with attorneys and other stakeholders. The Title Officer will communicate regularly with clients, lenders, agents, and internal teams to provide status updates, answer questions, and support a smooth closing process. The role also includes maintaining accurate records, adhering to regulatory and company standards, and contributing to process improvements within the title operations team. Qualifications Strong title operations skills, including experience with Title Searches and Chain of Title analysis. Knowledge of escrow procedures and the ability to manage Escrow accounts and closing funds accurately. Proficiency in Legal Document Preparation for real estate transactions, including commitments, policies, and closing packages. Excellent Customer Service skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with clients and partners. Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple files and deadlines. Familiarity with title insurance, real estate law, and regulatory requirements related to property transactions. Comfort with common title and escrow software systems, and basic proficiency in MS Office or similar tools. Previous experience in a title agency, law firm, or real estate closing environment preferred. High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or certifications in real estate, paralegal studies, or a related field are beneficial. #J-18808-Ljbffr
