Travel Surgical Tech/ORT - Certified Surgical Technologist/CST

American Traveler seeks a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) with 2+ years of experience and prior travel assignment history for a Level 1 Trauma Center OR position.

Job Details

• Level 1 Trauma Center OR setting supporting Ortho, General, Urology, Vascular, Robotic, Neuro, and select eye cases,
• Day shift schedule, 4x10-hour shifts from 10:30 to 21:00,
• Epic charting system experience preferred,

Job Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Surgical Technologist required,
• Prior travel assignment experience required,
• BLS certification required,
• NBSTSA certification required,
• ACLS certification preferred,
• Level 1 Trauma Center experience required,
• Teaching hospital experience preferred,
• License required if applicable,
• Current state or compact license must be in hand at time of consideration,
• All requested time off must be identified prior to consideration,

Additional Information

• Support a wide range of surgical specialties including vascular, gynecology, plastics, neuro, podiatry, general, orthopedic, urology, ENT, bariatric, thoracic, and select cardiovascular procedures,
• Maintain aseptic technique and proper sterilization/disinfection practices,
• Assist with case cart and crash cart preparation as needed,
• Not eligible for candidates residing in certain nearby Texas counties per facility policy,
• Former staff members must wait one year before returning as a traveler,
• Local candidates within 50 miles are not accepted,
• Onboarding requires completion of core items and labs within 48 hours of contract signing
