BluePearl Pet Hospital – Veterinary Technician – Internal Medicine BluePearl Pet Hospital is seeking a knowledgeable and skilled Veterinary Technician to join their fast-paced Internal Medicine department. $5,000 Sign‑on bonus for qualified candidates! Pay and Benefits LVT Pay: $26.75 - $51.32/hr (starting pay dependent on experience and advancement through Kahuna leveling system). We also offer competitive shift differential pay for eligible hours worked for nights and weekends. Shift differentials are based on a 4‑hour minimum. Mon – Fri: 6pm to 8am = $4.50 Shift Differential Sat & Sun: 8am to 6pm = $4.50 Shift Differential Sat & Sun: 6pm to 8am = $8.00 Shift Differential Are you a good fit? Responsibilities As an Internal Medicine Veterinary Technician, you are a liaison between our internists and our clients regarding patient histories, care instructions, lab results, patient updates, and other topics as requested by the doctors. You will be involved with client contact through phone calls, email, and in‑person conversations. Additionally, you will assist with endoscopic and ultrasound procedures, fill prescriptions, take X‑rays, and obtain lab samples. Strong anesthesia and phlebotomy skills required. Set up constant rate infusions (CRI) Calculate all medical math, including advanced and CRI (mcg/mg, %/mg, etc.) Induce, monitor and recover anesthesia Set up for ultrasound and radiology procedures Set up and assist with endoscopic procedures (GI, nasal, urinary, airway); clean and maintain equipment following procedures Discharge IM patients from the hospital, including basic client education such as insulin injection, SQ fluid and feeding tube demonstrations Additional job duties as assigned Why BluePearl?
