Job Responsibilities
  • Design Customized Treatment Plans: Assess clients' needs and create tailored therapy strategies aimed at facilitating their functional goals
  • Implement Therapeutic Modalities: Apply proven methodologies to enhance patients' motor abilities, cognitive functions, and everyday living skills
  • Collaborate with Diverse Teams: Work alongside occupational, physical, and speech therapists, doctors, and nurses to provide comprehensive care
  • Educate Patients and Families: Train patients and their caregivers on therapeutic techniques to maintain progress outside of sessions
  • Track Progress and Document Outcomes: Monitor clinical advancements and modify therapy as required to keep patients on target
Education Requirements
  • A degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited college or university
  • Support for continuing education and advanced certifications
Certification Requirements
  • Active Occupational Therapist (OTR) license
  • NBCOT (National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy) certification mandatory
