Advanced Power BI Developer

The primary function of this position is to design, develop and deploy advanced Power BI solutions that leverage data warehouse and source system data across multiple subject areas. The areas of focus will be the development of executive dashboards and paginated reports across Power BI Azure and Power BI Report Server.

Develop and maintain executive, enterprise level analytics solutions and reports using Power BI Azure and Power BI Report Server. Work directly with end users to enhance dashboards and reports Define and document setup and configuration parameters Define and follow Power BI development best practices Design and implement analytics solution architecture POCs Create and maintain Power Pivot models, datasets and dataflows using best practices Provide system support for the Power BI Report Server environment (application administration for both the development and production environments) Manage report security, folder security, database row level security, report schedules and distribution

Senior level hands-on skills in building Reports, Dashboards, Scorecards and Reports using Power BI 7+ years hands-on experience in Power BI Desktop and Azure development tools, must have deep technical knowledge and be able to implement any feature and solve any issue 7+ years of Business Intelligence, Data Warehouse, and data architecture experience. 2+ years of experience and technical knowledge of Power BI Report Server Administration 5+ years of experience with advanced MDX and DAX expressions 5+ years of experience with data modeling with Power Query and Power Pivot Strong PL/SQL development experience with the ability to write complex and nested SQL queries Experience with Azure dataflows Demonstrated knowledge in P&C Insurance analytics, systems and processes is a strong plus Experience using source control software such as TFS Experience using defect tracking software such as VSTS Familiarity with development methodologies

Familiarity with visual design concepts for dashboards is a strong plus
