About This Role
We are currently seeking dedicated Preschool teachers and teacher assistants to join our team at CELC. If you are passionate about supporting the growth and development of young children and their families, we encourage you to submit your application. Compensation is based on qualifications
What You'll Do- The ability to adjust daily routines to meet the diverse needs and interests of individual children and the group as a whole.
- Maintaining a clean, well-maintained, and safe facility and equipment for the children.
- Developing and implementing policies and procedures, including disciplinary measures.
- Planning and organizing a range of weekly and monthly activities.
- Engaging in ongoing professional development and contributing to the program's goals and objectives.
- Crafting activities that cater to the physical, intellectual, emotional, and social needs of the children.
- Creating an inclusive classroom environment that fosters parent participation.
- Providing necessary equipment and engaging activities for the children.
- Ensuring the children are always supervised.
- Communicating with parents to discuss their child's development and progress.
- Implementing positive discipline methods.
- Observing children and recording their progress and development.
- Creating a safe and secure environment where children feel comfortable and supported.
- Incorporating children with special needs into the program in a positive and respectful manner.
- MUST have 1+ years in a childcare setting
- A minimum of 12 Early Childhood Credits & must be willing to work towards degree
- CPR/First Aid certified
- Provide 3 professional references
- Associates Degree in Early Childhood preferred
- Knowledge of NAEYC accreditation a plus
- Knowledge of ELDS or DOTS
We are interested in candidates who have additional training in first aid and CPR. It is also a plus if you are certified to administer Epi-pens. Additionally, having training in medication administration and completion of the C4K Health & Safety Training would be beneficial.
