The ideal candidate has a can‑do attitude, strong problem‑solving skills, and an active EPA certification. Job Responsibilities Diagnose problems and failures in heating/air conditioning systems, refrigeration systems, and food service equipment to determine repair or replacement needs with no mistakes or callbacks. Perform maintenance, service repairs, install new units, or replace parts on units larger than 15 tons. Maintain larger preventive maintenance contracts with more than 5 units. Repair or replace defective parts and controls in units and equipment. Service and troubleshoot mini‑splits and/or replace smaller RTUs and mini‑splits for 15 tons or less. Communicate with Dispatch to confirm job completion. Maintain preventive maintenance schedules and procedures for customers. Provide elite customer service on all customer interactions. Accountabilities Continue learning and development through FirstCall Academy to maintain industry skill level. Deliver elite customer service to remain the first call for HVAC needs. Qualifications Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record. Active EPA certification. Five or more years of experience in a commercial HVAC setting. OSHA 10 certification. Manufacturer certification preferred. Availability for flexible hours and on‑call shifts as needed. Strong mechanical aptitude and problem‑solving skills. Behavioral Profile Language Skills: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos; to write correspondence; to effectively communicate with customers and account managers. Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide in all units of measure, compute rates, ratios, percentages, and interpret graphs. Reasoning Ability: Apply common sense to follow written, oral, or diagram instructions and solve problems with multiple variables.
