Operating Room NurseOperating Room Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 10-Hour Day Shift Hours per Shift: 10 Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: RN Certifications: ACLS, PALS, BLS Must-Have: Robotics, Ortho, Urology experience; certification (CNOR) preferred Description: Must live 100 miles away. 4 ten-hour shifts from 0630 to 1700. Days off will vary depending on operating room needs and call requirements. Call is required, averaging 4-5 times per month, including a minimum of one weekend day. Weekday call will be from 1700 to 0630 with a 30-minute callback time. A day off will be provided following call if feasible; otherwise, days off will be according to operational needs. The operating room nurse is responsible for scrubbing and/or circulating duties for operative procedures. Adheres to standards and appropriate aseptic techniques. Consults and coordinates with team members to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate intraoperative patient care plans. Serves as a communication liaison to patients, families, and members of the operating team. Prepares the operating room for the patient and surgical procedure.
