Locum Cardiothoracic Physician Assistant

Overview Palm Health Resources is hiring an experienced Cardiothoracic Physician Assistant / Nurse Practitioner for a full continuum of care position in heart surgery in Upstate, NY. Responsibilities Work a 6‑month contract with a 2‑weeks-on/2‑weeks-off schedule. Provide a minimum of 50 hours of care each week. Primarily perform first‑assisting duties in the operating room. Provide additional ICU, floor, pre‑operative, and post‑operative care as needed. Utilize Maquet equipment during procedures. Qualifications Seasoned PA in heart surgery with at least 2 years of full‑continuum cardiothoracic experience. Experienced in assisted cardiac surgery, including CABGs and valve procedures. Comfortable working in a 30‑plus year cardiovascular program with 2‑3 cardiac surgeons and 3 PAs.
