Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled Data Engineer with strong SQL expertise and hands-on exposure to StreamSets. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing ETL/data pipelines and supporting enterprise data engineering initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and optimize SQL queries and database solutions
- Build and maintain ETL pipelines using StreamSets
- Collaborate with business and technical teams to deliver scalable data solutions
- Monitor data workflows and troubleshoot performance issues
- Ensure data quality, governance, and security standards
- Support reporting and analytics requirements
- Document technical processes and workflows
Required Skills
- 3–5 years of experience in SQL development and data engineering
- Strong understanding of relational databases and data warehousing concepts
- Hands-on exposure to StreamSets or similar ETL tools
- Experience in writing complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and performance tuning
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Preferred Skills
- Exposure to AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Knowledge of Python or Shell scripting
- Familiarity with Spark or Hadoop
- StreamSets certification is a plus
Education
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field
