Become part of our global network of skilled engineers, scientists, auditors, planners and environmental specialists, all working together to leave this world better than we found it.Who are we looking for?We are seeking a Senior Environmental Regulatory Manager – Mining to lead regulatory strategy and client advisory support for complex legacy mining environmental remediation and reclamation projects.This role will play a key part in shaping regulatory engagement, managing risk, and supporting long-term site closure and reclamation strategies. The position offers a blend of technical leadership, client-facing work, and contribution to business growth.WHAT YOU WILL DO Serve as a regulatory lead for environmental remediation and reclamation projects at legacy mine sites Advise clients on permitting, compliance strategy, and regulatory risk Lead regulatory reviews, audits, corrective action programs, and closure planning Interface directly with regulatory agencies at the state and federal level Monitor regulatory trends and support proactive client strategy Support proposals, client development, and strategic growth initiatives Mentor and support development of technical staffRegulatory experienceExperience in the following areas is preferred:State-level environmental and mining regulations (New Mexico experience preferred, or similar Southwest U.S. experience)Federal regulatory frameworks such as CERCLA, RCRA, and Clean Water ActMining-related permitting and reclamation (including SMCRA or similar programs)Coordination with agencies such as NMED, EPA, BLM, or comparable regulatory bodiesWHAT YOU WILL BRINGBachelor’s degree in engineering, geology, environmental science, or related field12+ years of regulatory experience related to legacy or active mine sitesExperience supporting remediation, reclamation, and enforcement negotiationsStrong understanding of permitting, compliance, and regulatory strategy• Excellent technical writing and executive communication skills• Willingness to travel#LI-JS1Benefits:401K - Employees are eligible to participate on the first day of the month following 3 months of servicePaid time off – Our PTO benefit is designed to provide eligible employees with a period of rest and relaxation, sick, and personal time throughout the year.
