Social Media Producer New York City area | Full-time | Primarily remote with in-person shoots and meetings Salary: $72,000–$82,000 annually, depending on experience CyberGuy is looking for a creative, resourceful Social Video & Editorial Producer to work directly with Kurt “CyberGuy” Knutsson and our digital, editorial, and production teams. You’ll turn useful tech advice, news, and original ideas into compelling videos and social posts that capture attention, build trust, and grow our audience. Your strongest skill is storytelling. You know how to find an angle, shoot and edit a polished video, write a strong caption, and carry an idea through publication. You’re also comfortable managing social channels, supporting paid campaigns, and using results to make the next piece better. Your first 90 days: This is a regular full-time position. We set clear goals and review progress together, with check-ins at 30, 60, and 90 days. Develop, shoot, and edit demonstrations, interviews, explainers, and behind-the-scenes stories with Kurt in NYC. Adapt television and podcast material into engaging social content. Own daily social publishing. Manage content across YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Pinterest, Threads, and LinkedIn, tailoring each post to its platform and audience. Write and package compelling posts. Create headlines, captions, descriptions, thumbnails, and graphics. Check facts, spelling, links, subtitles, tags, formatting, and disclosures before publication, and review posts after they go live. Keep production moving. Maintain the content calendar, coordinate assets and approvals, and prepare for shoots with the information and materials needed to execute well. Turn results into better content. Track retention, watch time, engagement, clicks, and conversions where measurable. Test ideas and recommend specific improvements. Support paid campaigns. Help launch, monitor, and optimize Facebook, Instagram, and other relevant advertising campaigns. Stay connected to our audience. Follow CyberGuy’s reporting and audience conversations, monitor comments, and bring forward timely ideas that fit our voice and mission. You’ll work closely with the SVP Digital on strategy, creative direction, campaigns, and audience growth. What You Bring At least two years of relevant experience in social media, filmmaking, journalism, or digital content production. A strong portfolio demonstrating storytelling, shooting, editing, and social copywriting, especially for vertical video. Proficiency with tools such as Adobe Premiere, CapCut, Canva, or comparable software. Other important tools include ManyChat and social media management software like Metricool. Experience managing social channels, content calendars, publishing tools, and competing deadlines. Hands-on experience with Meta Ads Manager and an understanding of social analytics. An interest in consumer technology and the ability to make complicated topics clear and engaging. Excellent attention to detail, reliable follow-through, and the judgment to ask questions early and solve problems independently. Experience with WordPress, affiliate marketing, TikTok Shop, or additional advertising platforms is a plus. Salary + Benefits $72,000 - 82,000 annually, depending on experience For eligible full-time team members: Comprehensive medical coverage.
