Registered Nurse - ICU

Job Description

Job Summary:
Provide specialized critical care nursing to ICU patients in a level 2 trauma center. Deliver advanced interventions and coordinate patient care to ensure optimal recovery and stability.

Responsibilities:

Manage ventilators, interpret ABGs, and titrate vasoactive drips to maintain patient hemodynamics.
Perform procedures including intubations, central line placements, bedside trach and PEG tube insertions, and bronchoscopies.
Monitor patient vitals and transfuse blood products using GE monitors and Edwards EV 1000 systems.
Document all nursing activities accurately in Meditech system.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
Adhere to hospital protocols for safety, infection control, and rapid response.

Qualifications:

Valid RN license required.
Current ACLS and BLS certification required; TNCC, NIH, ABLS preferred.
Minimum 2 years of ICU experience with skills in vent management, ABG interpretation, and vasoactive titration.
Proficient in hemodynamic monitoring and critical care procedures.
Ability to work night shifts, every other weekend, with flexibility for floating within the hospital.
Strong clinical judgment and excellent communication skills.
