High Description American Traveler is hiring a Telemetry RN for a float pool position requiring a CA RN license, BSN, and 2.5 years of recent TCU/Stepdown/PCU experience. Details Float pool position, not unit-based, requiring flexibility to float to other UCSF facilities and units Day/Night rotating shift, 3x12 hours (7:00-19:30 or 19:00-7:30) Weekends as needed with shifts rotated within a 4-week schedule cycle Patient ratio of 1:5 May be assigned to ED for boarded patients or task assistance, and to PACU for boarded patients Uses Epic charting system May be reassigned to a different department, unit, or facility within a 75+ mile radius at any time during the assignment Requirements Active CA RN license required BSN required Current BLS and ACLS certifications required NIHSS certification preferred Minimum 2.5 years of recent TCU/Stepdown/PCU and telemetry RN experience required, with consistent home-unit assignment (float experience not sufficient) Teaching hospital experience required and must be noted in employment history Trauma Level II experience required Completed travel assignment within the past 12 months required Experience caring for acute care patients recovered from procedures (e.g., biopsies) preferred 2 professional references from most recent employer required for consideration Additional Information Care for adult stepdown/PCU and telemetry patients across a variety of nursing areas Any prior employment with University of California medical facilities or their acquired facilities must be disclosed with dates worked, units, and manager names for rehire eligibility review All RTO must be disclosed and approved by the manager at time of offer; no additional RTO requests accepted mid-contract and none allowed within the first two weeks of the assignment Local candidates accepted at the same rate as travel candidates Travel pairs allowed but generally not placed on the same unit, and married couples may not work on the same unit First-time travelers will not be considered for this role These details are based on information provided by the facility and may include inaccuracies or be subject to updates.
