The Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at Indiana University School of Medicine (IUSM) is seeking a Research Analyst to join our team. The Department of Orthopaedic Surgery is dedicated to providing collaborative, innovative, and comprehensive clinical care, research, and academic training for the next generation of orthopaedic surgeons. Our nationally recognized faculty specialize in a wide range of orthopaedic subspecialties and remain committed to advancing excellence in patient care, education, and research. Performs highly complex and intricate laboratory experiments. Leads protocol development, data analysis and report preparation. Maintains safety records and ensures safety/compliance procedures and protocols are followed. Hires, trains, and supervises lab staff and student employees; assures observation of safety policies. Maintains fiscal accountability of the program and approves all expenditures for the lab. May develop, prepare, and coordinate grant applications and grant-related activities to obtain funding for research projects and related work. May present research findings to staff, leadership, and external partners. Combinations of related education and experience may be considered. Education beyond the minimum required may be substituted for work experience. Work experience beyond the minimum required may be substituted for education. Required Education / Work Experience Master's degree in science related field plus 3 years of research experience; OR Bachelor's degree in science related field plus 6 years of research experience. The role requires the ability to move objects weighing up to 25 pounds and will occasionally work near moving mechanical parts.
