Phlebotomist/EKG Technician - Full Time Nights

Phlebotomist/EKG Technician – Full Time Nights. In this role, you will support patient care in both inpatient and outpatient settings by performing blood draws and EKGs in a fast‑paced environment. Shift Details Full Time 7 On / 7 Off Rotation – Third Shift Hours: Thursday/Friday 7:30PM – 5:30AM; Saturday/Sunday 6:00PM – 5:30AM; Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday 7:30PM – 5:30AM. Candidates must be able to remain on the night shift assignment for at least 12 months. Shift differential pay for nights and weekends is included. Location Bellevue Medical Center | Nebraska Medicine, Omaha, NE. Duties Perform adult and pediatric EKG testing, specimen collection, specimen processing, and distribution of patient specimens for testing while adhering to department identification policies. Perform, evaluate, and report patient specimens using point‑of‑care instrumentation. Demonstrate behavioral skills that contribute to a productive work environment and provide excellent customer service. Required Qualifications Minimum of 18 years of age. High school education or equivalent. Effective written and oral communication skills. Demonstrated initiative, teamwork, and flexibility. Computer experience. Attention to detail. Ability to multitask. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within six months of hire from an American Heart Association (AHA) endorsed program. Preferred Qualifications Knowledge of medical terminology. Successful experience in clinical laboratory medicine. Direct patient care experience, completion of a phlebotomy course, or phlebotomy experience. Prior non‑invasive cardiology experience. Experience with arrhythmias / 12‑lead interpretations. College courses in physiology, anatomy, physics, and/or related subjects. Nationally recognized certification or registry in electrocardiography (EKG). Successful completion of a nationally recognized phlebotomy certification program. Benefits This position is benefits eligible and includes shift differential pay for nights and weekends.
