Physical Therapist Assistant

Position: Physical Therapist Assistant - Geriatric Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team and provide exceptional care to our geriatric patients. As a Physical Therapist Assistant, you will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to help patients regain and improve their physical abilities. This is a full‑time position with a competitive salary range of $33-$37/hour, plus relocation assistance and sign‑on incentives for qualified candidates. Key Responsibilities Work closely with the Physical Therapist to develop and implement treatment plans for geriatric patients. Assist patients with exercises and activities to improve mobility, strength, and range of motion. Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed. Educate patients and their families on exercises and techniques to continue at home. Utilize various therapeutic modalities such as ultrasound, electrical stimulation, and heat/cold therapy. Document patient progress and maintain accurate records. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals. Adhere to all state and federal regulations and ethical standards for patient care. Qualifications Associate’s degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program. Current state license or eligibility for state licensure. Minimum of 1 year of experience in a geriatric setting preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Compassionate and patient‑centered approach to care. Up‑to‑date knowledge of physical therapy techniques and equipment.
