THE POSITION

FIFA’s Commercial Legal team, which deals with all FIFA’s business-related legal matters, including partnerships, licensing, intellectual property, music, digital and technology, is looking for a clerk to join us in our Coral Gables, Miami offices. The role will be a supporting function within the Legal and Compliance administrative team, which assists in the delivery of legal services relating to the development of football at every level, from grassroots initiatives, to elite international competitions. This is an entry level position with an opportunity to support with administrative, as well as, operational functions of the office – which has a “team first” approach. In particular, the Legal Clerk will act as a team assistant and will: Deliver support to a very active and growing team and Director Assist with day-to-day administrative activities such as calendar management, meeting scheduling, coordination of travel, and expense requests Assist with day-to-day operational functions such as organizing and coordinating events, trainings, programs and meetings with domestic and international visitors, participants and associations Support in preparing legal correspondence, power point presentations and templates, trackers and reports Assist in special projects, as needed Assist in supporting the Team’s strategic priorities and development activities Assist with ensuring FIFA internal processes are adhered to, and complied with, from an administrative perspective Complete assigned projects and tasks within given deadlines despite competing priorities Assist the lead administrative team of the Legal and Compliance Division as a dedicated, supportive and helpful team member

In particular, the Team Assistant should have: A “team first” approach and be a key contributor to this strategic priority First class written and spoken English language skills Ability to provide and communicate effectively Client oriented, efficient and effective, as well as, solutions oriented Able to set priorities, keep deadlines and achieve organizational goals Enjoy interaction and coordinating with other internal and external stakeholders Enjoy working in a team of busy professionals Understanding of contracts management and rights management for a legal department Structured, reliable, well-organised with a strong eye for detail Proactive, with a strong sense of personal responsibility with an ability to work autonomously Resilient with an ability to competently handle a large workload amid rapidly shifting priorities Open-minded team player with an affinity for working within a variety of cultures and excellent communication skills High degree of professionalism and confident demeanour Ability to be a good ambassador for FIFA in all manner of external facing situations, including during contract execution, external clients Willingness to operate outside of comfort zone College or Bachelor’s degree Minimum of 2 years administrative assistant experience or previous legal office experience Native level English (or equivalent) Proficiency in any other FIFA language (French/Spanish) is an asset but not required Proficient in Microsoft Office products, including Word / PowerPoint / Excel Proficient in creating presentations Readiness for stand-by duties and special projects
