R & D Engineer

JOB SUMMARY:

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITES:

• Person must qualify for any assisting jobs that need to be done in the department.
• Design and support of in-house machinery and tooling.
• Be a part of the research & new product development team.
• Format engineering documents, Bills of Material & product specifications.
• Interact with vendor design engineer for product selection, project management & technical support.
• Provide technical support to Sales & Engineering team.

REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITES:

• Ability to follow instructions and continued training throughout employment with a desire for self-improvement.
• Ability to read and interpret manufacturing drawings.
• Ability to read tape measures with the same ability to read calipers and micrometers.
• A willingness to work any shift on any day including overtime scheduled or in an emergency.
• Trustworthy with ability to work with little or no supervision.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• The successful candidate must have a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 2 years of experience desired, but not required. Experience in HVAC system repairs, analysis and installation is a definite plus.
• Ability to communicate effectively with team members.
• Candidate must be able to multitask.
• Must be able to lift up to 45lbs.

TRAINING REQUIRED:


Training will be ongoing throughout employment based on duties as assigned.
