Urgent Care Physician Physician

Overview Urgent Care Physician (Full-Time) – Emergency Medicine or Family Medicine physician in suburban Chicago, Illinois. BC/BE in the field required. Responsibilities Provide urgent care within a Level II Trauma Center with on-site ancillary services and access to imaging and a comprehensive ED. Work with double coverage during higher volumes, especially flu season. OccMed work may be less than 10% of duties. Read radiographs initially with radiologist support; maintain skillful suturing. Proficiency with OccMed work preferred; DOT can be obtained before the hire date (not a requirement). Comfortable treating patients of all ages; patients under 3 years old comprise a small portion of volumes. Schedule: 8 am–8 pm Monday–Friday; 8 am–3 pm Saturday–Sunday. Doors close 1 hour before closing. In two weeks: five 12-hour shifts and two 7-hour shifts. Option to rotate to three additional locations if the provider desires extra shifts. Medical records are managed with Meditech (IMC) and Agility (OccMed). Collaborate with a Level II Trauma Center accredited by the American College of Surgeons as a Community Cancer Program. Access to subspecialty consults (e.g., 24/7 STEMI, GI, ID, Hem/Onc, Nephrology for inpatient dialysis, Radiology, TelePsych, and others) and resources such as a Sleep Center, radiology, ENT, Peds, Ob/Gyn, Ortho/Spine, and rehabilitation services. The service area includes close-knit, family-oriented communities with strong education and employment opportunities.
