As a result of our continued growth, Mead & Hunt has an exciting opportunity available for an experienced Civil Engineer to join our Aviation Midwest group at our Bismarck, ND office. Responsibilities Developing plans and specifications Analyzing and preparing engineering reports, and construction cost estimates for various airport design projects Performing drafting tasks in AutoCAD and Civil3D to generate plan sheets Assisting with construction administration and inspection tasks including working in the field at project sites (weekends and nights, as needed) Reading and interpreting FAA Advisory Circulars, geotechnical reports, and survey data to utilize in project designs May assist with client contact, meetings, and communication pertaining to specific projects Other tasks as assigned A valid driver’s license, the ability to pass background check to gain access to airport sites, and travel will be required. Qualifications A bachelor’s degree (or higher) in civil engineering or related field from an accredited college or be able to obtain the degree within six months of hire date At least 2 years of relevant experience The ideal candidate will have experience with any/all of the following 5 or more years of relevant engineering experience would be a plus AutoCAD and/or Civil3D software programs Comfortable with public speaking and working in a client facing role Construction field tasks including site grading, utilities, drainage, erosion control, paving, materials testing, and/or surveying Microsoft Excel, Word, and Project software programs EIT certification is preferred If you have strong communication and organizational skills, are someone who takes initiative, and can work well both independently and as part of a team, complete the online application process for this job posting at .
