This role reviews qualification records, monitors Hours-of-Service (HOS) and electronic logging device (ELD) compliance and ensures required safety and maintenance documentation is accurate and up to date. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable communicating compliance requirements while helping maintain a strong culture of safety. Responsibilities Review driver, contractor, and vehicle qualification records, including background checks, motor vehicle records, and employment verifications. Monitor Hours-of-Service, ELD usage, DOT medical certifications, and drug and alcohol compliance. Review vehicle inspections, maintenance records, registrations, and required safety documentation. Maintain accurate compliance records and follow up on missing documents, violations, and corrective actions. Communicate safety requirements and compliance concerns with drivers, fleet owners, vendors, and internal teams. Qualifications and Requirements Previous DOT compliance or transportation safety experience preferred. Knowledge of Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations (FMCSA), Hours-of-Service, vehicle maintenance, and DOT qualification requirements preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and document management. Strong attention to detail, organization, and ability to manage multiple priorities. Effective communication, sound judgment, and problem-solving skills. Bachelor’s degree in transportation, logistics, or supply chain preferred. Drug and alcohol compliance or safety-related training or certifications preferred.
