As an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) joining our team, you're embracing a vital mission dedicated to making communities healthier.How you'll contributeAn Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) who excels in this role:Functions as a team member as an EKG tech, Code 0 team member, Dr. Red (fire) team, Dr. Armstrong (security) team, Hazmat team.Takes an assistant role in triage as requested by team leader.Demonstrates ability to assist with ED patients from triage to discharge under the direction of the ED physician or RN.Performs procedures within their EMS Scope of practice.Transports patients to procedures or hospital inpatient units upon admission.Participates in precepting EMS students, job shadowing opportunities and public tours to make a positive impression of EMS.
