( the iconic bicycling company based in Dayton, Ohio, with more than 125+ years of bicycling history. Buzz Bicycles ( Batch Outdoors Inc. ( Niner Brands International Inc. ( Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Data Privacy Compliance Manager to oversee and ensure that the company complies with all applicable global data privacy and protection laws, regulations, and contractual requirements. The role involves developing and managing policies and procedures related to data privacy, training employees, performing audits, and acting as the point of contact for data privacy-related matters. This individual will also help mitigate data privacy risks across the organization. Essential Duties and Responsibilitiesinclude the following. Other duties may be assigned. Develop, implement and communicate policies, procedures, and associated plans for the maintenance of information privacy and protection based on industry-standard best practices. Audit existing privacy practices across the organization, isolate potential risks or liabilities, and develop mitigation plans. Monitor changes in data privacy and protection laws and regulations, ensuring the company remains in compliance with relevant global standards (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, etc.). Develop and execute risk management strategies to address any potential vulnerabilities related to PII and sensitive data; advise leadership and departments on privacy risks and mitigation strategies. Create and conduct training sessions on data privacy policies and regulations for employees at all levels, including education on proper handling of personal data and the consequences of non-compliance. Collaborate with Legal to review contracts and ensure data protection clauses are included in vendor and third-party agreements. Oversee third-party risk assessments to evaluate how external partners handle sensitive data. Maintain accurate records of data processing activities and ensure that all privacy-related documentation is readily available for audits or regulatory inspections. Supervisory Responsibilities This job has no supervisory responsibilities. Education Bachelor’s degree in Law, Information Security, Business Administration, or a related field. Certification in Data Privacy (e.g., CIPP/E, CIPM, or similar) is a plus. Experience At least 5 years of experience in data privacy, compliance, or a related role, with a strong focus on data protection laws and regulations. Experience in planning, organizing, and developing data privacy technologies, policies, procedures, and practices. Experience with data governance, risk, and compliance management, including experience conducting data privacy audits. Knowledge In-depth understanding of global data privacy and protection principles, laws, regulations, and industry best practices (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, PIPEDA, etc.). Familiarity with data privacy tools and technologies. Skills Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to communicate complex compliance and technical concepts to non-technical staff. High attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
