Job Responsibilities Plans pipe system layout, installation, or repair according to project specifications Determines equipment and material needs for each assignment Cuts, threads, and bends, pipe to specifications using hand tools and power tools Measures and marks pipes for cutting and threading Assembles pipes, tubes, and fittings according to specifications Inspects work site to identify obstructions or holes that will cause structure weakness Inspects, examines, and tests installed systems to ensure quality construction Identify and resolve construction site problems Provide immediate and accurate communication to the Superintendent Enforce the Scherer Construction/OSHA safety standards at all times Job Skills, Knowledge, Training and Experience Sound knowledge of various types of construction equipment and construction procedures Knowledge of underground structure construction techniques Ability to inspect and evaluate the quality of materials Knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations Ability to identify and resolve problems Ability to multi-task and prioritize to meet deadlines Self-motivated Education and Training Requirements High School Diploma or its equivalent 2 years work experience in related field #J-18808-Ljbffr
