Pay Rate: $35.00/hr.

Description: Coastal Medical Staffing is currently seeking Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) for direct-hire opportunities at a correctional healthcare facility in Savannah, GA.

As an LPN, you will provide essential healthcare services to patients within a correctional facility, working alongside a multidisciplinary medical team. You will be responsible for delivering quality patient care, administering medications, monitoring patient conditions, and responding to medical needs in a structured clinical environment.

Previous correctional healthcare experience is NOT required! We welcome LPNs from a variety of clinical backgrounds who are adaptable, dependable, and committed to providing quality patient care.

Compensation & Schedule

Pay:

• $35.00 per hour
• 15% night shift differential

Available Shifts:

Full-time positions are available on both day and night shifts. All shifts are 12 hours, with specific schedules depending on the assigned unit.

• Day Shift: 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM or 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM
• Night Shift: 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

2 2 3 shift rotation - LPNs rotate between three units: Intake, Infirmary, and Pill Pass.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to patients within a correctional healthcare environment under RN supervision.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with established medical protocols.
• Perform nursing assessments, monitor patient conditions, and report significant changes to the appropriate healthcare providers.
• Assist with developing and implementing individualized patient care plans.
• Perform diagnostic testing and clinical procedures as directed.
• Respond promptly and effectively to medical emergencies while maintaining a calm, professional approach.
• Collaborate with physicians, registered nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
• Maintain accurate and timely medical records and clinical documentation.
• Educate patients on medical conditions, treatment plans, medication management, and preventive care.
• Follow established infection control procedures, facility protocols, and applicable healthcare regulations.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to all facility safety and security procedures.

Qualifications

Required:

• Graduate of an accredited School of Practical Nursing.
• Active and unrestricted LPN license in the State of Georgia.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Strong clinical assessment, communication, and documentation skills.
• Ability to remain calm and make sound clinical decisions in high-pressure situations.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
• Must successfully complete the required background screening process.

Preferred:

• One or more years of nursing experience in a clinical or medical setting.
• Previous correctional healthcare experience is a plus but is not required.
