Construction Project Supervisor

Objective: Agriculture - Design, Analyze, Audit, Improve Oversee all new projects that will be under construction. Role and Responsibilities Oversight of project plans and implementation Assist with design of new projects from initial rough drawings to finalized drawings, project specifications, request of bid from contractor, review bids for accuracy and completeness. Occasionally design project layout and acquire needed materials to complete specified project Job site inspections to ensure project specifications are being followed and Pipestone quality standards are being met. Ensure that all projects for which they are responsible are carried out efficiently Monitors construction, schedule, and quality control Provide guidance and technical support to resolve construction problems Support design engineering phase of projects Support negotiations with clients and suppliers Weekly reporting to the Asset management team and additional team members as determined. Carries out supervisory responsibilities within the Repairs & Maintenance department in accordance with all policies and applicable laws. Qualifications and Education Requirements High school diploma or GED required BS Degree with an agricultural or construction management focus preferred. 3 – 4 years of construction/maintenance experience or post-secondary education/training in these fields may be substituted for BS degree, preferred. Work Environment Agricultural swine environment in rural area Noise levels that require hearing protection in some areas Physical Requirements Standing, walking and ability to be on feet 8 to 10 hours per day Frequent bending, reaching, squatting and kneeling Frequent use of one or both hands/arms to grasp or pull Frequent lifting of objects weighing 3-20 pounds Occasional bending while pulling and/or lifting objects weighing up to 100 pounds or requiring up to 100 pounds of force to move with the assistance of another person as needed Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing Ability to attend and participate in meetings of various lengths Additional Requirements Must apply the core values of PIPESTONE at all times Good communication skills Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation to get to work Some travel required #J-18808-Ljbffr
