Job Title: Material Handler I Job Description The Material Handler I performs a wide range of warehouse activities, including receiving, material handling, shipping, foam and cart production support, and inventory control to support medical device manufacturing operations. This role ensures materials are accurately received, stored, picked, and shipped while maintaining strict compliance with regulatory and quality standards such as GMP, FDA, and ISO requirements. Responsibilities Perform receiving, inspection, and verification of incoming materials in accordance with established procedures. Accurately pick, stage, and ship materials to support production and work orders. Support foam and cart production activities as needed to ensure timely supply to manufacturing operations. Maintain accurate inventory records through regular cycle counts, inventory transactions, and timely system updates. Ensure proper material storage, identification, labeling, and traceability in compliance with quality standards. Complete and maintain required documentation in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and company procedures. Follow all applicable FDA, ISO, and internal quality system requirements during daily activities. Assist with general warehouse operations and perform cross-functional tasks as needed. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment by following housekeeping and safety guidelines. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Production, Quality, Supply Chain, and Customer Service to support operational needs. Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and business ethics codes. Perform other duties as assigned to support overall warehouse and manufacturing operations. Essential Skills High school diploma or equivalent experience required. Minimum 2 years of warehouse or material handling experience, preferably in a regulated industry. Experience working in a GMP and/or ISO-regulated environment preferred. Hands-on experience with inventory control, including cycle counting and material tracking. Knowledge of shipping and receiving procedures and standards. Basic computer skills and familiarity with inventory or ERP systems. Ability to handle materials safely and accurately in a warehouse environment. Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate documentation, labeling, and inventory records. Ability to follow established procedures and comply with regulatory and quality requirements. Effective communication skills to collaborate with Production, Quality, Supply Chain, and Customer Service teams. Additional Skills & Qualifications Forklift certification or the ability to obtain certification is preferred. Prior experience in a medical device or other highly regulated manufacturing environment is an advantage. Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and quality system documentation. Ability to adapt to changing priorities and support cross-functional tasks within the warehouse. Strong organizational skills to maintain orderly storage and efficient material flow. Why Work Here? The position involves regular use of inventory or ERP systems and may require operating material handling equipment such as forklifts, subject to certification. Work is performed on-site in a structured setting that follows Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) as well as FDA, ISO, and internal quality system requirements. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Santa Ana, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $23.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job‑related factors.
