The Restaurant Kitchen Manager will oversee a large team of 7 or more members, managing an American cuisine kitchen with a focus on maintaining high standards of food quality and safety. This role involves coordinating bi-annual menu updates and utilizing commercial kitchen management software such as Toast and Upserve. While the position emphasizes no late-night shifts, some flexibility for occasional late hours may be required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and lead a large kitchen team to ensure smooth operations
• Manage inventory to optimize stock levels and reduce waste
• Ensure compliance with food safety standards and sanitation protocols
• Schedule staff effectively to meet operational demands
• Control food quality through consistent monitoring and feedback
• Train kitchen staff on procedures, safety, and cooking techniques
• Oversee cost management to meet budget targets
• Coordinate bi-annual menu updates in line with culinary trends and customer preferences
• Maintain kitchen equipment and liaise with vendors for repairs and supplies

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years experience in kitchen management
• Food Safety Certification
• Expertise in inventory management and cost control
• Strong team leadership and communication skills
• Proficiency with scheduling software and commercial kitchen management tools
• Quality assurance knowledge and problem-solving abilities
• Effective time management skills
