Field Service Technician - Level 2 - $2500 Sign on Bonus!

Role Overview Sunbelt Rentals is seeking a Road Mechanic/technician who performs preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on a fleet that primarily includes aerial work platforms, heavy construction tools, and specialty lines equipment such as large‑scale generators, pumps, HVAC systems, and oil/gas equipment. The role requires working in a safety‑focused environment and may involve travel to remote locations. Responsibilities Perform preventive maintenance on diesel and heavy construction equipment, including aerial work platforms and specialty line equipment. Diagnose and repair hydraulic and electrical systems. Provide mechanic tools of trade and adapt to changing priorities in a fast‑paced environment. Work with a team to maintain safe equipment operation and minimize downtime. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required; trade school or equivalent training preferred. 3–5 years of mechanic experience with diesel equipment, heavy construction equipment or specialty line equipment (large‑scale generators, pumps, HVAC, or oil & gas). Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record; CDL license may be required in some locations. Knowledge of hydraulic and electrical troubleshooting fundamentals. Ability to maintain flexibility with changing priorities. Proficiency in Spanish or another language may be required based on location needs. Physical Demands Bending, squatting, crouching, reaching, lifting 50 pounds or more; work indoors and outdoors as required. Compensation Base Pay Range: $24.05 – $33.06 per hour (starting rate may vary based on location, education, training, and experience).
