\n \nAre you a licensed Structural Engineer with hands-on experience designing structural steel connections ?
\n \nI'm recruiting for an exciting opportunity with an established, family-owned structural steel fabricator that has been operating for nearly 100 years.
\nThis is a unique opportunity to take ownership of the company's in-house structural engineering function , working directly with detailing, fabrication, and project management teams on a diverse range of structural steel projects.
\n \nWhat You'll Be Doing:
\n- \n
- Designing structural steel connections, including bolted, welded, moment, shear, and bracing connections. \n
- Preparing and reviewing structural engineering calculations. \n
- Ensuring compliance with AISC standards, AWS D1.1, and applicable building codes. \n
- Reviewing structural drawings, shop drawings, and connection design requirements. \n
- Collaborating with detailers, fabricators, project managers, and Engineers of Record. \n
- Resolving engineering challenges throughout fabrication and erection. \n
- Developing practical, cost-effective, and constructible connection solutions. \n
What We're Looking For:
\n- \n
- Active Professional Engineer (PE) license – REQUIRED. \n
- Proven experience in structural steel connection design. \n
- Strong understanding of structural steel fabrication and erection. \n
- Experience with AISC standards and structural connection calculations. \n
- Ability to independently manage engineering responsibilities. \n
- Familiarity with Tekla Structures or connection design software is advantageous. \n
- Experience working with structural steel fabricators or specialist connection engineering firms is highly desirable. \n
