As a Dance Instructor, you will lead and inspire students across various skill levels, from preschool to advanced classes. Your role involves choreography, class planning, and performance coaching with a focus on creating a safe and engaging learning environment. You will support student growth through regular assessment, feedback, and participation in events with limited travel requirements. This position offers opportunities for professional development and career advancement.
Responsibilities
- Create and teach choreography for beginner, intermediate, advanced, and/or preschool classes
- Plan and structure dance classes effectively to suit different skill levels
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback
- Coach students for performances with limited travel
- Monitor safety during classes and rehearsals
- Coordinate music selections to enhance dance routines
- Participate in dance events and related activities
- Foster a motivating and creative classroom environment
Required Qualifications
- Proficiency in various dance techniques and choreography
- Strong communication and classroom management skills
- Physical fitness to demonstrate and perform dance moves
- Ability to motivate and inspire students
- Creativity in designing routines and lesson plans
- Effective time management to balance lesson preparation and delivery
Preferred Qualifications
- One or more years of experience in dance instruction
