About the Position

Job Title: Cardiac Cath Lab RN Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Cardiac Cath Lab Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12H Days plus call Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years required License: Registered Nurse license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS required Must-Have: Level I trauma experience preferred. Ability to pass a dysrhythmia exam with a minimum passing score of 80% within two attempts is required. Competence in maintaining sterile fields and performing high-frequency nursing skills. Description: All Registered Nurses are expected to complete required competencies in catheter insertion and dressing changes. Travelers going to specific campuses must attend skills labs. Candidates who do not feel competent in sterile procedures may not be a suitable fit. Position involves circulating in a dynamic cardiac cath lab environment. Daily case volume is between 10-25 cases per day, focusing on interventional cardiology and vascular cases. Charge nursing responsibilities are included. Required response time for call is 30 minutes. Work involves 4 weekend shifts per four-week schedule and holidays as part of the rotation. Technicians must have the ability to scrub and comply with required certifications. Charting system used is electronic. Cancellation policy allows for specific shift cancellations during assignments.
