Job Summary and Qualifications

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8a - 4:30P / Salaried position

Under the direction of the Manager of Clinical Informatics, the CPOE Coordinator is responsible for ensuring ongoing training, support and refinement of the electronic health record, as well as additional support for multiple applications throughout the facility. This individual processes and runs reports that help meet our patient safety goals and works with their facility peers to ensure advanced clinical applications are well supported throughout the facility.

  What you will do in this role:

• Works collaboratively with the Manager and Director of Clinical Informatics in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of ongoing education for hospital providers. 
• Assists with and facilitates informatics educational activities for all hospital departments based on identified learning needs. 
• Keeps abreast of current changes and updates in Meditech and other ancillary systems. 
• Communicates with providers and staff regarding current and upcoming changes in applications. 
• Provides in-services within the hospital for new applications or modifications to existing applications. 
• Research issues to bring to resolution. 

What qualifications you will need:

• RN Licensure in the state of TX
• Association or Bachelor’s Degree
• Proficient in word processing and computer systems
• Knowledge of Meditech or other EMR charting and report systems is helpful
• 3 years of RN experience in an acute care setting
