Airport Operations Officer

The Coos County Airport District is seeking a qualified and motivated individual to join our team as an Airport Operations Officer at the Southwest Oregon Regional Airport (OTH). This position plays a key role in maintaining the day-to-day safety, security, and operational functions of the airport. Responsibilities include monitoring and managing airfield activities, assisting airport users and the public, and performing Aircraft Rescue and Firefighting (ARFF) duties. A working knowledge of FAA Parts 139 and 77, and TSA 1542 regulations is essential. Candidates must be able to work in various conditions, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Associate’s Degree in aviation or related field, or a combination of education and experience (minimum High School Diploma or GED with 3 years of related experience) ARFF certification or ability to obtain within the first 6 months Oregon EMR certification or ability to obtain within the first 6 months Ability to pass a 10-year background and fingerprint check Valid driver\'s license, insurable, and able to complete AOA driver training Ability to read and follow written and oral instructions Ability to make quick, independent decisions in emergencies Strong verbal communication skills using proper aviation phraseology #J-18808-Ljbffr
