Injection Molding Engineer IV

Injection Molding Engineer Location: Newbury, OH | 100% onsite, Monday – Friday, 8:00‑5:00. Exempt salary based upon experience, incentive bonus eligible. Key Responsibilities Identify optimal solutions to molding operation processes that achieve manufacturing quality, volume, and cost expectations. Recommend best practices in support of quality, volume, and cost objectives. Lead and implement cost‑reduction activities and capital equipment acquisition, including payback analysis, capacity analysis, and business‑case justification. Aid in plant safety, layout, ergonomics, and process engineering to meet industry standards. Provide expertise in molding‑specific mechanical engineering, press controls, equipment, and facility layout. Assist technical staff in troubleshooting and correcting production tool and process issues. Work with cross‑functional teams to provide root‑cause analysis and permanent corrective action to complex quality issues. Mentor associates responsible for day‑to‑day molding operations, focusing on employee engagement, team development, and One Kinetico behaviors. Manage tooling development, tool design validation, mold sampling and validation, vendor relationships, and documentation systems. Develop collaborative connections across all boundaries to devise long‑term solutions. Education & Qualifications Bachelor of Science in Engineering or related technical field (Master’s degree a plus). 8–10 years of experience supporting a world‑class molding operation. Competencies Skill in molding science, equipment, and tooling. Proficiency with tooling and part‑drawing software (e.g., SolidWorks). Experience transitioning a manufacturing facility to automated processes. Effective cross‑functional collaboration. Knowledge in organizational effectiveness and operations management. Leadership: demonstrated ability to lead people and achieve results, prepare business‑case documentation, and understand business, management, human‑resources, and project‑management principles. Critical thinking, problem‑solving, excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills. Customer focus.
