Staff Accountant – Real Estate Development | Midtown Manhattan | $75K–$90K + Bonus

Ascendo Resources is currently seeking a Staff Accountant for a full-time, hybrid role.

Our client is a well-established real estate developer with a national portfolio (office, residential, mixed-use and industrial). You’ll be the financial link between the development teams, joint-venture partners and leadership, from groundbreaking to sale.

What you’ll work on

Monthly journal entries, bank and intercompany reconciliations, and financial statement prep
Construction loan draws and funding requests for active development projects
Tracking project costs against approved budgets
Monthly reporting to internal leadership and outside JV partners
Audit support and transaction closings (settlement statements, gain-on-sale calcs)

What you bring

Bachelor’s in Accounting (or related field)
CPA, or in progress with at least one exam section passed
1+ years of accounting experience. Public accounting is a big plus
Strong Excel and writing skills. Yardi is a bonus, not a must
