Work Environment

This position requires you to work onsite, engaging with patients within their homes, providing tailored therapy that considers their unique needs and circumstances. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients, including reviewing pertinent medical histories and performing detailed assessments to guide treatment plans.
• Communicate evaluation findings clearly to patients and their families, ensuring they are involved in the goal-setting process for their rehabilitation.
• Implement treatment protocols effectively, customizing approaches based on each patient's specific condition and response to therapy.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare professionals when needed to optimize patient care.
• Monitor and document changes in patients' conditions, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans as required.
• Engage in appropriate discharge planning and follow-up care, ensuring patients transition safely from therapy.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation for all patient care activities, including evaluation reports, treatment plans, and progress notes, contributing to a clear record of patient care and outcomes.
• Attend to personal time management and productivity expectations, consistently meeting departmental objectives.
• Participate in community outreach and marketing initiatives to promote physical therapy services.
• Take the initiative to pursue continuing education opportunities to enhance your professional skills and knowledge, contributing to the growth of the organization.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The primary focus of this role is on orthopedic patients, who often present with musculoskeletal issues such as post-operative recovery from surgeries, sports injuries, and chronic pain conditions. You will provide individual-centered care, employing a comprehensive understanding of orthopedic rehabilitation to help each patient achieve their personal mobility and strength goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• A state license or eligibility to practice physical therapy in Virginia.
• American Heart Association's BLS for Healthcare Providers CPR certification.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to facilitate effective patient interactions.
• A commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centered care.

Preferred Experience

While prior work experience is not mandatory for this role, candidates with clinical experience in orthopedic therapy, internships, or relevant volunteer work will be given preference. Familiarity with electronic health record systems and documentation processes is advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits

North Park Physical Therapy Center offers a competitive salary range of USD 100,000 to 120,000 annually, in addition to a comprehensive benefits package that includes:
