Nurse Practitioner - Pediatric Acute Care - Sacramento, CA

Pediatric Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (PICU) Sutter Medical Group seeks full‑time Pediatric Acute Care Nurse Practitioners to join our dynamic PICU team in Sacramento, CA. Responsibilities Provide clinical care for a 20‑bed PICU, including a 10‑bed Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU with 120–180 congenital heart repair cases/year. Cover both day and night shifts (day: 8–4pm, overnight: 9pm–9am). Work with 9 FTE PICU physicians and consult with pediatric subspecialists. Perform PICU procedures such as intubation, central line and arterial line placement, chest tube placement, lumbar punctures, etc. Training will be provided by PICU MDs. Participate in education of nursing staff, medical students, and ER residents rotating in the PICU. Utilize all ventilator modalities including high frequency, VDR, and NAVA ventilation. Qualifications Registered Nurse Practitioner with board certification in Family Nursing or Pediatrics. Minimum of 2years of NP experience preferred; pediatric CV ICU experience desirable but not required. Experience or aptitude for performing critical care procedures and use of advanced ventilatory support. Strong teaching and communication skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a high‑acuity environment. Benefits Competitive salary range: $163,098 – $220,912 FTE. Generous bonus potential and 100% 401(k) match.
