Job Summary:

Seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist with pediatric and adult critical care experience to provide high-quality respiratory care during night shifts. The role involves managing ventilator support, airway management, and administering various inhaled medications in a critical care setting.

Responsibilities:

• 
  Assess and monitor patients' respiratory status, ensuring optimal oxygenation and ventilation.
  
  
• 
  Perform airway management procedures including extubation, nasal airway placements, and suctioning.
  
  
• 
  Administer inhaled medications such as albuterol, Atrovent, and inhaled steroids using aerosol setups, metered-dose inhalers, and nebulizers.
  
  
• 
  Troubleshoot mechanical ventilation alarms, manage high flow nasal cannula, BiPAP, and CPAP devices, and facilitate weaning protocols.
  
  
• 
  Document patient care accurately in EPIC electronic medical records, ensuring compliance with facility standards.
  
  
• 
  Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and execute individualized respiratory treatment plans.
  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  Valid RRT license in South Carolina required.
  
  
• 
  Minimum of 2 years of adult critical care experience, including trauma Level 1 settings preferred.
  
  
• 
  Proficiency in airway management, mechanical ventilation, and aerosolized medication delivery.
  
  
• 
  Certification in ACLS and BLS required.
  
  
• 
  Demonstrated EPIC charting experience with at least 1 year of clinical use.
  
  
• 
  Ability to work night shifts (7:00 pm - 7:30 am) and adapt to floating across units as needed.
