Food Service WorkerJob Title: Food Service Worker $23 an hourThe General Laborer supports daily kitchen and food preparation operations by organizing food storage areas, maintaining clean and sanitary workstations, and following strict food safety guidelines. This role ensures that ingredients, tools, and surfaces are properly prepared and maintained so the team can work efficiently and safely.ResponsibilitiesOrganize food in refrigerators and on shelves to ensure items are stored safely, clearly labeled, and easy to access.Label containers with dates and other relevant information to support proper food rotation and freshness.Measure out spices and seasonings accurately to support food preparation and maintain consistency.Clean workstations thoroughly, including surfaces and preparation areas, to maintain a sanitary environment.Wash utensils, cutting boards, and other kitchen tools, ensuring they are properly cleaned and ready for use.Follow strict food safety guidelines at all times to prevent cross-contamination and maintain hygiene standards.Sweep and mop floors regularly to keep the work area clean and safe.Wipe out trash cans, change garbage liners, and dispose of waste properly.Clean and organize food storage areas to maintain order and support efficient operations.Essential SkillsAbility to organize food in refrigerators and on shelves in a safe and orderly manner.Ability to accurately label containers with dates to support food safety and inventory control.Ability to measure spices and seasonings precisely to support consistent food preparation.Experience cleaning workstations, utensils, and cutting boards in accordance with food safety standards.Knowledge of and commitment to following strict food safety guidelines to prevent cross-contamination.Capability to perform general cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, and trash removal.Additional Skills & QualificationsStrong attention to detail when organizing, labeling, and measuring ingredients.Reliability and consistency in completing cleaning and sanitation tasks.Ability to follow written and verbal instructions related to food safety and cleanliness.Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment and support the broader kitchen team.Why Work Here?You join a team that values cleanliness, safety, and teamwork, where your contribution directly supports smooth daily operations.
