What You Will Accomplish The Seasonal Poolside Massage Therapist is responsible for delivering high-quality, express massage services in an outdoor, poolside setting during peak seasonal periods. This role supports the Spa team by providing convenient, short-duration treatments designed to enhance the guest experience and generate incremental revenue. It is hourly with a commission and eligible for gratuity. This position operates as part of a pilot Pop-Up Spa program and is structured to complement, not impact, existing spa operations. The ideal candidate is guest-focused, efficient, and able to maintain spa-level service standards in a fast-paced, non-traditional environment. Key Responsibilities: Provide professional massage services including back, neck, shoulder, hand, and foot treatments in a poolside setting Deliver consistent, high-quality services within a short-duration, high-volume model Create a welcoming and engaging guest experience that aligns with brand standards Educate guests on service offerings, pricing, and enhancements Promote and upsell add-ons such as sunscreen application and cooling or after-sun treatments Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of the treatment area in accordance with company and state guidelines Set up and break down daily pop-up spa equipment, including massage chair/table, linens, and shade structures Manage walk-up appointments and support efficient guest flow during peak periods Ensure compliance with all safety, sanitation, and licensing requirements Communicate guest feedback, operational needs, and demand trends to Spa leadership Support overall Spa and resort initiatives as needed What You Will Bring Current state Massage Therapy License (required) Minimum 1 year of massage therapy experience preferred, ideally in a resort or spa environment Strong guest service and communication skills Ability to work independently in a dynamic, outdoor setting · Professional appearance and demeanor consistent with luxury hospitality standards · Flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and peak seasonal periods Special Skills & Abilities/Mental And Physical Demands: Ability to stand and perform services for extended periods of time Repetitive use of hands, arms, and upper body Ability to lift, carry, and set up equipment up to 25 lbs. Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions Work Environment: Outdoor, poolside setting with high guest interaction Fast-paced, seasonal atmosphere Exposure to sun, heat, and varying weather condition Other: Hourly rate and/or commission structure (based on experience and business needs) Eligibility for gratuities Potential incentives tied to service volume and add-on sales (To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
