Quality Assurance Manager

Upper Deerfield Township, NJ 08302 Our client, a leading organization in the food manufacturing industry, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Quality Assurance Manager to join their team. As a Quality Assurance Manager, you will be an integral part of the Quality Assurance Department supporting various operational teams. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to quality management, which will align successfully within the organization. Job Title: Quality Assurance Manager What's the Job? Manage the daily operations of the quality assurance department, including production scheduling, employee supervision, and policy administration. Oversee sanitation and food safety programs, ensuring compliance with GMP, HACCP, and other regulatory standards. Coordinate with cross-functional teams such as Maintenance, Production, Supply Chain, Warehouse, and Finance to maintain high-quality standards. Lead and manage audits including customer, third-party, FDA, USDA, Organic, and SQF, ensuring all corrective actions are addressed promptly. Review and analyze food safety and quality reports, perform root cause analysis on consumer complaints, and manage product recalls effectively. What's Needed? Bachelor’s degree (B.A. / B.S.) from a four-year college or university, or equivalent experience in food quality management. 5-8 years of experience in QA/Food manufacturing, with proven leadership in managing direct reports. Technical knowledge of food safety standards, including HACCP, GMP, SQF, and PCQI certifications. Strong understanding of microbiology, formulation, and statistical problem-solving techniques.
