Easterseals Western and Central Pennsylvania is a non-profit organization looking to hire a dynamic Level III or Level II Classroom Assistant to work with special needs children ages 3-8 years old at our Export, PA location.POSITION-Classroom Assistant III or IIClassroom Assistant IIIBachelors (Required)PA Professional Teaching Certificate in Special Education, Elementary Education and/or Early Childhood Education (Required)Special Education Experience: 1 Year (Preferred)Classroom Assistant IIAssociates (Required)Special Education Experience: 1 Year (Preferred)ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES-Classroom AssistantPlanning and implementing activities to enhance students skills.Assisting in implementing the students IEP.Providing a safe and accepting classroom.Providing 1:1 instruction as needed.Assisting in the instructional program, integration program and behavior management of studentsBENEFITSWork hours are Monday - Friday, 9:00a.m. to 3:00 p.m., 6-hours days. Working only 30 hours per week, with a typical school calendar of 9.5 months per year! The starting rate for the Classroom Assistant III is $23.00. The starting rate for the Classroom Assistant II is $20.00.
