Senior Software Engineer

Bio-Techne seeks a Senior Software Engineer to develop and maintain scalable web applications, data analytics workflows, and instrument control software for life sciences research tools. The hybrid role in Wallingford, CT involves full-lifecycle software delivery, legacy code refactoring, and cross-functional collaboration with scientists and quality assurance teams.

Responsibilities

• Participate in all phases of software development lifecycle from design through deployment and testing
• Identify root causes of complex technical bugs and refactor legacy components into clean, testable architecture
• Leverage AI-assisted development tools while maintaining architectural oversight and code verification
• Collaborate with scientists, hardware engineers, and QA to resolve software-hardware integration challenges
• Ensure software engineering practices comply with ISO-13485 and 21 CFR Part 11 regulatory frameworks

Requirements

• 4+ years professional experience developing commercial or enterprise full-stack software applications
• Proficient hands-on experience with C#, .NET Core, ASP.NET MVC, Entity Framework Core, and SQL Server
• Experience building modern web applications with Blazor, RESTful APIs, and microservice architecture
• Advanced proficiency with Git version control, CI/CD pipelines, and GitHub workflow tools
• Solid understanding of software design patterns (MVC, MVVM, Clean Architecture, Dependency Injection)
• Proven ability to work autonomously, estimate accurately, and maintain proactive communication across teams

Compensation: $121,400.00 - $199,550.00
