Automation Engineer

Salary: $95,000 - 135,000 per year Requirements:

• Proven background as a backend developer.
• Strong command of programming languages such as C#, JavaScript, Python, or Node.js.
• Familiarity with RAG concepts, chunking approaches, embeddings, and vector search.
• Experience with a vector database such as Qdrant, Pinecone, Weaviate, or a similar platform.
• Strong troubleshooting ability for diagnosing and resolving integration-related issues.
• Familiarity with workflow automation tools such as n8n, Zapier, or Airflow, plus Redis for caching, lightweight queues, and workflow state.
• Experience deploying applications with Docker.
• Familiarity with maintaining cloud environments, with Azure preferred.
• Solid understanding of version control and basic CI/CD pipelines.
• Ability to monitor system health and investigate script failures in production.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
• A bachelors degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or a related field is a plus.
• 3–7 years of full-time full-stack development experience, with C#, .NET, or Python preferred.
• 3+ years building system integrations, data integrations, or APIs for critical business systems.

• Build automation solutions end to end across the business, including integrations, data pipelines, workflow automation, and scripting.
• Work with stakeholders to uncover and assess automation opportunities, deciding when AI is the right fit versus a traditional integration, script, or workflow change.
• Own data movement and integrations between systems such as SharePoint, SQL, file shares, and documents, including ingestion, transformation, and keeping downstream data current.
• Develop AI capabilities where they create meaningful value, including prompt design, RAG pipelines, and LLM integrations.
• Collaborate with our C#/.NET and Angular ERP codebase alongside the existing development team through feature work, bug fixes, and code review.
• Stand up and support containerized services, including self-hosted components like Qdrant for vector storage, on our Azure platform.
• Partner with consultants on specialized technical challenges and capture their knowledge to reduce consulting reliance over time.
• Prototype quickly to test automation ideas before committing to full implementation.
