We are seeking a compassionate, skilled Ultrasound Technologist to join a highly collaborative Diagnostic Imaging team at a respected Critical Access Hospital nestled in one of Oregon’s most scenic and welcoming regions. What You’ll Do As the Ultrasound Technologist, you will play an essential role in both patient care and diagnostic excellence. You will guide patients through the imaging experience from scheduling and preparation to exam completion and follow-up coordination. You’ll perform a broad range of high-quality ultrasound procedures including: General abdominal imaging OB/GYN studies Small parts examinations Venous Doppler studies Carotid Doppler imaging Working closely with providers, nursing staff, and radiologists, you’ll help ensure accurate, timely imaging services while maintaining the highest standards of patient safety, compassion, and professionalism. Additional responsibilities include: Coordinating and scheduling patients according to departmental protocols Verifying orders, authorizations, and exam appropriateness Performing and documenting exams accurately within RIS/PACS and the hospital EHR Preparing images for radiologist interpretation Maintaining infection prevention and equipment quality assurance standards Supporting department workflow in a collaborative rural hospital environment Assisting with cross-training and departmental growth initiatives as needed Why This Opportunity Stands Out Practice in a highly respected rural healthcare setting where your contributions are immediately meaningful Enjoy greater autonomy and variety than is typical in large urban imaging departments Work alongside a close-knit, mission-driven team committed to exceptional patient care Experience the lifestyle advantages of Eastern Oregon — open landscapes, mountain views, outdoor recreation, and genuine community connection Opportunity for long-term career growth within a stable, community-centered organization What We’re Looking For The ideal candidate brings a strong combination of technical skill, adaptability, and patient-centered care. Required Qualifications Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program ARDMS certification (or equivalent) in Abdomen and/or OB/GYN Oregon Board of Medical Imaging (OBMI) license upon hire Current BLS certification Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with providers and staff Strong critical thinking and communication skills Commitment to patient confidentiality, safety, and service excellence Preferred One or more years of experience in abdominal and OB/GYN imaging Breast imaging experience is a plus The Environment This is a full-time opportunity within a community-based hospital that values teamwork, integrity, flexibility, and compassionate care.
