Job Title

SMH Level 3 RN Med/Surg - ED Boarder

Location

New York, NY

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Rotating Shifts (Days, Evenings, Nights) | Includes Holidays, On Call, Callback, and Weekends as Needed

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to med/surg boarder patients housed within a high-volume Adult Emergency Department
• Manage a patient assignment of up to 1:5 ratio with the support of assistive personnel
• Monitor and assess a diverse patient population presenting with a wide variety of medical diagnoses
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to ensure safe and effective patient outcomes
• Adhere to all departmental protocols, documentation requirements, and standards of care

Required Qualifications

• Active New York State Registered Nurse (RN) License
• Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg nursing experience
• Telemetry (Tele) experience
• Current BLS certification
• Current ACLS certification

Preferred Experience / Skills

• NIHSS certification
• Experience working in or alongside a high-acuity or trauma-level emergency department environment
